H2 – 2024 Release Schedule

1. Access Company Structure Overview Using Deep Link

You can now use a deep link (/sf/orgchart?type=entity) to access the Company Structure Overview (CSO) page.

Supported parameters are:

• objectType
• evaluationPath
• instance

When you select an object in the CSO, the URL is automatically updated. You can bookmark or share this URL. Here’s an example of using a deep link:

This enhancement improves usability by providing an easier and quicker way to access the Company Structure Overview page.

As of 2H 2024, the following entities on the latest People Profile are supported: Personal Information, Global Information, National ID Information, Addresses, Work Permit Information, Dependents, Job Information, Job Relationships, Compensation Information (including Recurring and Non-Recurring Pay Components), and Employment Information.

Accessing requests is a routine task for both employees and managers. This redesign simplifies the process, elevating productivity and the overall user experience.

Role-Based Permission Prerequisites

You have the User Permissions >> Employee Data  >> Transactions Pending Approval permission. You also have permission to view specific entities listed below “Transactions Pending Approval”.

How It Looks Now

Pending approvals and future changes are also accessible from the header area on the details UI, in addition to the card UI.

How It Looked Before

With the legacy People Profile, pending approvals and future changes are only accessed from the block UI of an entity.

3.Access Time Forms Using Deep Link

You can now use the deep links /sf/timeForms#/essScreen and /sf/timeForms to access the Time Forms Employee Self-Service page and the Time Forms Admin Workbench page.

This enhancement improves usability by providing an easier and quicker way to access the Time Forms Employee Self-Service page and the Time Forms Admin Workbench page.

4.Enhancements to Out of Office Indicator on the Latest People Profile and Org Chart

We’ve made some enhancements to the out-of-office indicator in the latest People Profile

The enhancements are as follows:

• In both the latest People Profile and the org chart, out-of-office information is now supported for leaves of absence (LOAs) in Time Off for Leave of Absence Only instances.
• In the latest People Profile, “Back on” information is now also determined for LOAs in both Time Off and Time Off for Leave of Absence Only. This doesn’t apply to the latest org chart because that doesn’t generally show “Back on” information.

We made these enhancements in response to customer feedback.

How It Looks Now

In the current version, the out-of-office feature is supported both for Time Off and Time Off for Leave of Absence Only instances. Furthermore, “Back on” information is now also calculated for LoA absences.

How It Looked Before

In the previous version, the out of office feature was not supported for Time Off for Leave of Absence Only instances. Furthermore, if an employee was on Leave of Absence (in a full Time Off instance), no “Back on” information was shown.

5.Updates to the Pending Workflows Page

The new Pending Workflows page has been enhanced and now officially replaces the legacy Pending Requests page.

Recent enhancements include the following:

• New tabThe Requests Reassigned to Others tab represents a new category of requests: those that have been delegated or escalated by the current user to others and are still pending approval. This feature will also be included in the latest version of SAP SuccessFactors Mobile, available on the 2H 2024 Production release. Note that in the Web application, depending on your display resolution, you may need to access certain tabs from the More dropdown list.
• Link to My Workflow Requests pageA new link, Access requests awaiting my approval, enables users to quickly navigate to My Workflow Requests, where they can view and process requests awaiting their approval.
• Navigation to more useful pagesNow, choosing a workflow on the Requests for Information tab takes users either to the People Profile or Manage Positions page. These pages offer the full context needed to understand the data change being approved.

With the universal availability of the new Pending Workflows page, the Previous Version switch, once used to revert to the old Pending Requests UI, has been removed.

These enhancements optimize users’ experience when it comes to accessing, prioritizing, and responding to pending requests, which are essential aspects of their everyday work.

Role-Based Permission Prerequisites

You have the User Permissions  >> Employee Views permission. You also have permission to view the Pending Requests item.
