Milestone | Date | Definition |
---|---|---|
End of Development | May 20, 2022 | The deprecation milestone after which SAP stops enhancing a product or part of a product. You can continue to use the software, but you should begin planning for a time when it will no longer be available for use. We still fix high-priority bugs. |

Deprecation Details
The Benefits Auto Enrollment Job is replaced by Create or Update Benefit Enrollments for Benefit Master Data Changes and Create or Update Benefit Enrollments for Employee Master Data Changes job.
The Benefits Auto Enrollment Job analyzes all employee records with each run, even those records where there are no changes based on the eligibility rule. This approach slows down jobs, affecting the performance with respect to time. Occasionally, the job can also fail due to memory consumption issues if the volume of data to be processed is very high. To improve performance, two new jobs have been introduced to replace the Benefits Auto Enrollment Job.

Deprecation Details
Previously, all benefit related fields existed within the Benefit object. This included fields for all benefit types such as Insurance, Savings Plan, Allowance, and so on. As there are more fields for various benefit types now, keeping all the benefit related fields in one object could create performance issues.
To prevent this, the existing Savings Plan related fields in benefit objects have been moved into new objects. As a result, the Story reports, Business Rules, and Integrations that refer to these fields from the current objects will stop working after November 17, 2023.

3. Availability of Standard Fields for Insurance Rate Determination in a New Object
In the Configure Standard Fields for Rate Determination object, we’ve moved the Standard Fields, which were displayed within the Rate Chart for Plans Covering Employee and Dependants object previously. We’ve also introduced Additional Standard Fields in the Rate Chart for Plans Covering Employee and Dependants object to accommodate the Standard Fields.
The administrators can use this feature to enable the Standard Fields for the Insurance Rate Chart by selecting the required Standard Field configuration. The Configure Standard Fields for Rate Determination dialog box displays the required Standard Fields that the administrator can configure based on the requirements.
We’ve introduced this feature to reduce performance issues caused by the addition of a large number of fields within the Insurance Rate Chart. We’ve restructured the object to accommodate the fields to help with this.

4. Troubleshoot Mode in Benefit Master Data Changes Job and Employee Master Data Changes Job
We’ve introduced the Enable Troubleshoot Mode for Batch Errors field in the Create Benefit Enrollments or Update Benefit Enrollments for Benefit Master Data Changes job and for Employee Master Data Changes job. This flag allows you to identify the user with the inconsistent or incorrect data.
This feature improves user experience by reducing effort of the administrator, who had to rerun the job for each user to find the user with the corrupt data.
What’s Changed
Previously, when these two jobs were run for a batch of users, and if there’s any inconsistencies in user data such as Benefit Enrollment, Recurring Deductions, Recurring Information for Benefit Integration object and so on, then the entire batch would fail. When the Enable Troubleshoot Mode for Batch Errors field is set to Yes, the process of creating or updating Benefit Enrollments fails only for a user whose data is corrupt.
