1. Add to Transport Bundle in Employee Central
You can add Off Cycle Event batch objects in Manage Data and Dynamic Group Filters in Business Configuration UI to a transport bundle so that you can transport it to a paired target system using the Configuration Transport Center.
The Add to Transport Bundle option is now available for:

2. Address Typeahead in Employee Address Information
You can now use the Address Typeahead and Address Validation services independently or together for accurate address data.
The Address Typeahead feature simplifies the process of entering accurate address data and displays address data at the level that is searched and selected.
Configuration Requirements
You need to have a license for the microservice from SAP Data Quality Management, microservices for location data (DQM microservices).

In the previous version, the Address Typeahead feature wasn’t supported for employee address information. Only employee address validation in the Employee Central System was supported.

3. Automatically Hire Applicants from Recruiting and Onboarding to Employee Central
You can now set up your system so that applicants from Recruiting, or Onboarding, or Recruiting and Onboarding are automatically hired into Employee Central with no manual intervention in the Manage Pending Hires tool.
Automatic Hire only supports the following processes:
- For Recruiting:
- Regular Hire
- Concurrent Employment (CE)
- Global Assignment (GA)
- For Onboarding:
- Regular Hire
- Rehire
- Rehire with New Employment
All onChange, onSave, and onPostSave rules are supported by Automatic Hire.
An applicant appears with the Automatic Hire icon after their name in the Manage Pending Hires tool if there’s a need for manual intervention in the hiring process. These scenarios include those where a workflow is involved or where a data-related error occurs during hiring. For additional details, see Enhancements to Manage Pending Hires Tool
Automatic Hire provides an easier and more efficient process that avoids the need for manual steps and reduces the time to hire applicants.

Employee Central
There is no additional configuration needed in Employee Central for this feature.
Onboarding
Enable Admin Center Onboarding General Settings Submit Onboarding Data Using Centralized Services.
A new setting in the Onboarding General Settings page, called Enable Automatic Hiring for Onboarding controls the feature.
You can create a business rule using the scenario Trigger Automatic Hiring of Applicants for Onboarding in the Configure Business Rules page. Then, you can configure the rule by selecting the rule scenario for Rule for Automatic Hiring Configuration in Manage Data Onboarding Configuration.
Recruiting
Enable Enable Recruiting Business Rules in Admin Center Manage Recruiting Settings Business Rules.
A new setting in Manage Recruiting Settings Applicant Profile Settings called Enable Automatic Hiring for Recruiting activates this feature in Recruiting.
You can create a business rule using the scenario, Job Application: Trigger Automatic Hiring of Applicants in Configure Business Rules. You can then add a template-level rule for Rule for Automatic Hiring in Manage Rules in Recruiting Job Application to trigger the feature.

4. Email Address Validated By Default
Email addresses in Employee Central are now validated by default. We’ve removed the Activate Email Validation in scorecard setting that controlled the email address validation from the Company System and Logo Settings page.
Whenever there’s a change to email addresses, their formats are automatically checked. This enhancement improves data quality by preventing any invalid email addresses and saves configuration efforts.

How It Looks Now
In the current version, the option Activate Email Validation in scorecard under Admin Center Company System and Logo Settings has been removed. The email address validation is now universally applied in Employee Central.
How It Looked Before
In the previous version, the option was off by default. Administrators had to manually enable it if they wanted to get the email address validated.

5. New Diagnostic Tool for Employee Central Transactions
There is a new diagnostic tool in the system to help you solve configuration issues with HRIS elements in workflows as well as data saved in Manager Self-Service (MSS), Employee Self-Service (ESS), and Add New Hire (for Hire and Rehire) transactions when they are made using the Edit, History, or Take Action options.
This diagnostic tool provides separate sections for workflow details for HRIS elements as well as country/region-specific HRIS elements and a snapshot view of each processing stage in MSS, ESS, and Add New Hire transactions. Checking the snapshot view can help give you an idea at which stage of the processing the issue could have happened as well as the option to check the individual details.

- Gives a snaphsot view about each stage of the transaction, including changes from business rules, forward propagation, and so on
- Shows all the field level transaction details about the fields that were changed
- Enable tracing for 15 minutes to help find issuesWe have created a new Diagnotics Tracing Configuration MDF object for this new tool as well.
This new tool aims to help you solve configuration issues yourself quickly and efficiently without having to contact SAP Support.
