Replacement Date: The date after which the feature or version is permanently disabled and no longer supported.

1.Event Reason XML Deprecation
As of 2021 1H release, the XML-based approach to derive event reason for Job Information and Compensation Information imports is deprecated from your system.
The existing process of using XML-based rules in the Succession Data Model to derive the event reasons for changes to Job Information and Compensation Information of employees is no longer supported. You can now employ business rules to achieve the same purpose.
Existing rules in XML will be migrated into onSave business rules automatically. All the migrated rules will start with the postfix ‘migratedRule’. Example: compInfoModel_ERD_migrated_rule
If there are multiple rule conditions in your XML data model, the migration process will combine all of them into a single business rule, which will be available for Job Information and Compensation Information alike. Employee Central Migrating Features.
The new business rules will be automatically assigned to both Job Information and Compensation Information HRIS elements, and can be found both in the data model and the Business Configuration UI

Official End of Maintenance for the Event Reason XML Template occurred with the 2020 2H release, and therefore patches can no longer be made.

The last release in which customers can productively use Event Reason XML Template is 2021 1H.
2.Retirement of External Time Record
As of 2H 2021, we’re planning to retire External Time Record (MDF object and API) and its composite API External Time Segment. You can use External Time Data instead. Employee Central Migrating Features.
Retirement Date: As of 2H 2021 (target), we’re retiring External Time Record.
External Time Data
External Time Data supports a wider range of time data than External Time Record. You can use External Time Data to import both clock times and durations. External Time Data also supports cost centers and time types. You can even distinguish between main time types and other time types. SuccessFactors Employee Central Migrating Features.
