1.Reporting ‘No Shows’ in Employee Central
What is it?
A new ‘Take Action’ Report No Shows which calls a UI (resembling a simplified version of the termination screen). When saving the new
‘Action’ a new Job Information record is created which begins on the exact date of the hire: On the hire date a new intra date e vent is created
which makes sure that the newly hired has not a single active day in the system. 5
Why is it important?
It is a common phenomenon that previously hired employees ignore their signed contracts and do not show up to start their new employment. Current workarounds (typically a termination after the fact becomes known) leaves one big problem, the employee will have at lea st one active day after a termination was executed. 6
Prerequisites
The following configurations have to be added: Grant Permission for the new ‘Take Action’. New picklist entry for the Event ‘No Show’. The newly required ‘Event Reasons’. Grant Permission for the new Event reason. 7
2.Configuring ‘No Shows’ in Employee Central

(2) Add new event No Show‘ in picklist
(3) Provide adequate Event Reason (s)‘
3.New Rules Scenario for Event Reason Derivation
When creation a Event Reason Derivation (ERD) rule a new rules scenario facilitates the creation of such rules. by reducing complexity and preventing erroneous configurations. 8
Why is it important?
It reduces complexity and prevents erroneous configurations as only the relevant base objects are offered as well as just the Event Reason field can be changes in the ‘Set’ command. For new customers we strongly recommend to configure ERD exclusively using rules based ERD. In one of the next releases XML based ERD will be deprecated. 9
Prerequisite
However, to have rules based ERD activated the provisioning settings to enable Business Rules for Workflow derivation and Business Rules for Event Reason Derivation have to be activated.
4.Default max length for custom string fields
What is it?
When you add a new custom string field for a HRIS Element, the maximum length defaults to 256 characters. Previously max field length is not populated and a warning message is displayed which leads to additional clicks for end user. From this release, system will pre populate the max length of custom string field to 256 characters.
5.Batch Export Profile Photo
What is it?
You can now batch export Employee Profile photos by scheduling a Batch Export Employee Photos job in Provisioning.
Why is it important?
Prior to this enhancement, customers did not have to ability to export employee photos. With this enhancement, a new job is added in provisioning: Batch export employee photos. The exported files include a csv file (2 columns in it: Username and Filename) and the related employee photos. The exported files will be stored on an FTP server according to job configuration.
6.Rehire with new user ID
What is it?
A terminated employee can be rehired with a new user ID. Earlier, a terminated employee could ONLY be rehired using the old user ID.
Why is it important?
By using a new user ID, the previous employee history of a terminated employee is isolated. Earlier, when a terminated employee was rehired using the old user ID, his/her new employment history was appended to previous employee history.
Prerequisites
In Provisioning, Enable People Profile (PP3), In RBP–> Manage User –> enable Rehire Inactive Employee with New Employment
