1H – 2025 Release Schedule

1. AI-Assisted Explain My Pay Statement for Employee Central Payroll Based on SAP Human Capital Management for SAP S/4HANA

You can now use Joule to get an explanation of your most recent pay statement, or to compare your most recent pay statement with the previous pay statement.

You can ask Joule to explain terms or amounts displayed on your pay statement. The explanations can include wage type names or wage type information from the payroll result, depending on whether the wage type is included in document grounding.

Restriction: This feature is only available in English.

We developed this feature to make it easier for users to understand entries and abbreviations on their pay statements without having to research different resources for explanations.

Configuration Requirements

• You’ve purchased the AI units license. For more information about AI units license, please contact your Account Executive.
• You’ve enabled the AI Services Administration  Explain Pay option in Admin Center.
• You must have enabled Joule for SAP SuccessFactors.RestrictionJoule isn’t enabled in production tenants until the May release date of Joule. Employee Central Payroll 1H 2025.

2. New Fields Added to the National ID and Personal Documents Section of the Employee Profile Page

Two new fields, Valid From and Valid To have been added to the National ID and Personal Documents section, displaying the validity of the national ID.

These two fields will allow the addition of add multiple national IDs for one person, if required. The data of multiple national IDs can be stored now.

Configuration Requirements

You must have installed the relevant support package in your Employee Central Payroll system.

SAP S/4HANA HCM (S4HCM 101): support package 21

SAP ERP HCM (EA-HR EHP8): support package E5

Please note that you can’t use the feature as a whole until the support package mentioned has been released. The full documentation will be made available then too.

3. Payroll Information Available in Alumni Experience

Former employees, referred to here as alumni, can now view and download pay statements as part of the alumni experience.

The alumni experience allows former employees that have been assigned the new alumni role to access the system after their employment ends. In the Payroll tab, alumni can view and download pay statements, payroll and tax-related documents, as well compliance-related information.

We developed this feature to allow alumni to easily access pay statements and payroll information after their employment has ended.
