1. Additional Onboarding Home Page Card
Users assigned as buddies to a new hire now see a new SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding home page card, featured prominently at the top of their latest home page. This enhancement helps ensure buddies are informed and engaged at the right moment to support new hires.
How It Works
The home page card appears on the buddy’s home page:
On the new hire’s start date, or
When onboarding tasks are completed by the responsible user or the hiring manager.
On the start date, the buddy receives a nudge reminder informing them that the new hire is starting.
The reminder encourages the buddy to reach out, offer a warm welcome, and help the new hire get started, reinforcing a positive Day‑1 experience.
Note: This home page card is available only with the latest home page experience.
Configuration Requirements
Ensure that the latest home page experience is enabled.
What’s Changed
Now: A new home page card is displayed at the top of the buddy’s home page, prompting them to welcome and support the new hire.
Previously: When a buddy was assigned to a new hire, no home page card was shown to prompt welcoming or support actions.

2. Cancel Form I‑9 Process from the New Hire Details Page
Hiring managers and onboarding participants can now cancel the Form I‑9 process directly from the New Hire Details page using the Compliance Processes Details button. This enhancement provides greater control over onboarding and compliance workflows and eliminates the need for back‑end intervention.
How It Works
The Compliance Processes Details button appears at the top of the Form I‑9 and E‑Verify section on the New Hire Details page when at least one compliance process exists.
If no compliance process exists, the button is not displayed.
Selecting the button opens the Compliance Processes Details page, where users can:
View all compliance processes related to the new hire
Review the status of each process
Use the Cancel Process action for the Form I‑9 (and I‑9 Reverification) process
Canceling the Form I‑9 Process
Select Cancel Process for the relevant Form I‑9 task.
A Cancel Compliance Process dialog opens.
Enter a reason for cancellation (optional).
Confirm the action.
After confirmation:
The task is marked as Canceled
The system records:
Timestamp
User who performed the action
Cancellation reason
The action is logged in the audit trail
The canceled task:
Is immediately removed from active dashboards, home page cards, and To‑Do lists
Remains visible in reporting and audit views with a clear Canceled status
All associated forms and attachments are discarded
No further actions can be taken on the canceled task
View Compliance Process Details
The View Details action opens the Compliance Process Details popup.
This popup displays:
Process ID
Start Date
Comments
Current status
How It Looks Now
Form I‑9 and I‑9 Reverification tasks can be canceled at any stage directly within the application.
Users provide a reason, confirm the action, and the task is immediately deactivated while remaining auditable.
How It Looked Before
There was no in‑app option to cancel Form I‑9 or I‑9 Reverification tasks.
Administrators relied on:
Back‑end requests
Leaving tasks incomplete
Manual workarounds
This often led to compliance confusion, operational delays, and unclear audit trails.

3.Configurable Trigger for U.S. Form I‑9 Reverification
SuccessFactors Onboarding 1H 2026 now allows administrators to configure when the U.S. Form I‑9 Reverification process is triggered, providing greater flexibility to align with organizational compliance practices.
Administrators can set the reverification task to trigger anywhere between 30 and 540 days before an employee’s work authorization document expiration date.
What’s New
The Form I‑9 Reverification trigger is now configurable, rather than fixed.
Administrators can:
Select the number of days before document expiration when the I‑9 Reverification task is created
Configure assignment groups for the I‑9 Reverification task
Supported trigger range:
Minimum: 30 days before expiration
Maximum: 540 days before expiration
Default value: 180 days
This flexibility allows organizations to better align reverification timing with internal processes, union agreements, or risk‑management strategies.
Configuration Requirements
To configure the Form I‑9 Reverification trigger:
Go to Admin Center
Navigate to Compliance Settings
Select United States
Open US I‑9
Select a value under I‑9 Reverification
If no change is made, the system applies the default value of 180 days before document expiration.
How It Looks Now
Administrators can choose the number of days before expiration from a dropdown list in the I‑9 Reverification section.
The selected value determines when the I‑9 Reverification task is automatically triggered for eligible employees.
How It Looked Before
The trigger timing for the Form I‑9 Reverification task was hard‑coded to 240 days before the document expiration date.
Organizations had no ability to adjust the timing to meet business or compliance needs.
