# SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 Learn the new _SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0_!
Explore the functionality designed for new hires, their managers or colleagues,

 Onboarding 2.0 shares shares core data structure and a database model with the 
entire SuccessFactors suite. This gives you direct access to use many of the same
functionalities and objects from Foundation and EC. Most notable is the use of the
Business Rule Engine for tailoring processes to client-specific needs as well as
[Meta-Data Framework](https://twitter.com/anipeabraham) (MDF) objects used to gather
data directly in the core of the suite.

**Is Super Admin required to configure ONB 2.0?**

The Super Admin persona will no longer be required for ONB 2.0. There will be minimal
configuration in SuccessFactors provisioning, as most of all configurations will
be accessible via SAP SuccessFactors [Admin Center](https://www.facebook.com/LorenzoDataSolutions/).

**How are MDF objects supported with ONB 2.0?**

MDF objects are used for any ONB 2.0 custom data collection fields. [Personal Information ](https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=919912283899&text=&source=&data=&app_absent=)
data collection will use the EC developed MDF objects.

**How are notifications supported in ONB 2.0?**

ONB 2.0 uses Email Services.

**We would like to know how documents will be managed in Onboarding 2.0?**

Document Center is an ONB 1.0 storage system which will not be included with ONB
2.0. Instead the [Document Management](https://www.lorenzo-datasolutions.com/self-paced-videos-of-sap-successfactors/)
Service in HCM platform is used for ONB 2.0.

**Will ONB 2.0 continue to have both Click-To-Sign and DocuSign?**

Yes, customers can use [SAP Signature Management](https://www.sap.com/products/electronic-signature-management.html)
by DocuSign especially to support digital transactions and advanced use cases with
the need of an e-signature. With this, an additional license is required.

**What is required to create forms with Print Form Services in Onboarding 2.0?**

[Adobe Lifecycle Designer](https://www.lorenzo-datasolutions.com/successfactors-employee-central-videos/)(
ALD) for SAP is available to SuccessFactors customers at no charge.

**How should I get prepared for ONB 2.0**

A demo instance will be available Q1 in 2020.

**Is ONB 2.0 entirely deployed in SuccessFactors HCM and configurable without reference
to other modules (e.g., the existing separate ONB 1.0)?**

ONB 2.0 is entirely based on SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite (EC, MDF, Rules, etc.).
HCM instances are needed, and you typically get three instances – Test, Preview,
and Production. A separate instance as with KMS/ONB 1.0 is not required.

**When will the new Onboarding 2.0 Associate Certification Exam be available?**

Beginning December 9, 2019, the [certification exam ](https://www.lorenzo-datasolutions.com/success-factors-training-videos/)(
C_THR97) is live.

**Is there a cost for consultants to get certified on the new Onboarding 2.0 Associate
Certification Exam?**

The new Onboarding 2.0 Associate Certification will be available via the SAP [Certification Hub](https://www.lorenzo-datasolutions.com/employee-central-payroll-videos/).
If a consultant does not have one, they can purchase a subscription for ~$550.

**What does the SAP Certification in the Cloud (CitC) subscription consist of?**

The SAP CitC subscription is valid for [12 months](https://www.lorenzo-datasolutions.com/employee-central-payroll-training/).
Each user has up to six exam attempts, with a maximum of three attempts for each
version of the exam. If a consultant fails the exam three times, he/she must wait
until the new exam version becomes available.
